Female Dog, Boxer

Boxer (Short Coat)

Description:

Please meet Cheyenne! She is around 4.5 years old, deaf, and is being fostered in Arlington, WA. Due to no fault of her own, Cheyenne found herself at a local area shelter in Everett, WA, which is where MLBR was able to step in and help. Cheyenne is super sweet and loves being pet for as long as her people will do it; giving you a little grunt when you try to stop; she just makes the cutest noises. Cheyenne has a high prey drive and would do best in a home without a cat or other small animals. She loves women and follows her foster mom everywhere. She also does well with men, but just seems to prefer the women in her life. Cheyenne does great with kids, as long as they’re dog savvy. Cheyenne does very well in her crate and all you have to do is point at it and she goes right in. She has recently shown interest in toys, but her favorite things are the chews that her foster family give her. She loves food and will take treats well but can get a little mouthy if she’s overly excited. Cheyenne does well when on leash for walks and also is a great passenger in a vehicle. She might bark if she sees another dog from the car window, but otherwise, she tucks her face against the seat and takes a snooze. Cheyenne hasn’t yet shown interest in playtime with her foster fur-brother but does just fine entertaining herself. She appears to think she needs to protect her people when her foster fur-brother gets too excited. So, because she’s not a big fan of this type of excitement or of too much going on around her, she would be best suited for a quiet, calm home setting. Perhaps a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home and is there all day, would be ideal for her. And while Cheyenne would be fine living with a mellow male dog in her forever home, she’d also be just fine as an only dog (where she can get all of the love and attention!). Overall, Cheyenne is a very sweet pup who is deserving of all the love and attention she can get. She will make a wonderful addition to the right home and family, and we can’t wait to see her find that.
