Description:
This handsome little puppy is Clyde! He and his 9 siblings were born on August 5, 2024. We aren’t sure yet what their breed mix is, probably a Heinz 57; but we believe that mom is a Boxer-mix. Mom and her 10 puppies were rescued in Oklahoma and Clyde is now being fostered in Tacoma, WA. Clyde is brave and bold. He enters every situation with a confident paw forward, courageous in any new setting. Clyde greeted his older foster brother (an overgrown Boxer) with fearless bravado and tolerates his endless love nibbles, giving just as good as he gets. He’s also been really indifferent with the cats in the household, not wanting to chase or engage, just leaves them alone. If there was a medal for the best cuddler Clyde would take home gold. This man takes the phrase ‘play hard, sleep harder’ to heart. He goes and goes and goes, you think he’ll never stop. Then he pauses, and his expression starts to droop, from playful to exhausted. Little eyebrows fighting to keep his eyes open for one more moment of play before he crawls into a lap and is out like a light. He’s an adventurous toy connoisseur, doesn’t matter if it squeaks, crinkles, or rolls, he’s on it! He’s always ready to eat and loves a good treat. Being food motivated is helping him learn useful skills like a good recall and how to potty outside. He doesn’t get it right every time but is making progress daily. Like most puppies, Clyde is still trying to decide which paw will move him the way he wants to go. Super floppy and stumbling through life, but happy to be here. He has conquered the stairs to get outside, running full speed in the yard, and as a certified couch potato, he can almost get onto the couch without help, in order to cuddle! His foster parents keep saying he’s gonna light up somebody’s whole world someday. He’s a true gem and one of a kind! He has absolutely melted the hearts of everyone he has come in contact with. We are all better having met this special guy.
