Description:
Hi, my name is Mike Tyson, Mikie for short and I am one of the 10 puppies that MLBR rescued from Oklahoma in September, and I’m being fostered in Lynnwood, WA. I am not sure why my forever family hasn’t found me yet because I am pretty sure that I was the cutest of litter; at least that’s what my foster mom says! I was born on August 5, 2024, so I am almost 14 weeks old and finishing up my vaccinations so I can run and play everywhere and not worry about getting sick. My really big foster fur brother says that I am pretty fun to play with even if I want to climb on him or hang on to his toys. I think he appreciates it when I have my kennel naps during the day; then afterwards he is ready to play with me again. I have no problem with my crate, all of my meals are served to me in there and I love to snuggle on my bed and never tear it up. At night I sleep 7-9 hours without a peep, but I am raring to go when my crate door opens. Leash training is my new thing, although I’m not sure why my foster mom tells me I can’t hold onto the leash and walk myself; but since I’m easily distracted by all the cool things to see, I end up letting go. I am very interested in all things but don’t get too excited when I see birds or squirrels, I just want to watch what they do. Food of any kind is my absolute favorite thing, and my foster mom makes me sit and wait which I am learning to do, but my little body just wants to dance. I think I am figuring out that rewards come quicker when I hold still and pay attention. I am very good at sitting both on and off leash and have learned to lay down pretty good too. I do feel that all of these things require a reward but if not, a good pat suffices. Potty training has been a bit slow for me, but I have shown great improvement in recent days. I just get so busy playing that I forget there is a special place for me to go. I haven’t had an accident in a few days which makes my foster mom very proud. When I see people of any age I begin to wiggle and wag my tail so fast. If they don’t notice me, I just can’t understand, because I just want to love everyone. Dogs outside make me feel the same way, but my big fur-brother is kind of scary looking, so my foster mom says it’s not going to work for me to go outside to meet them. But I know that someday I will get to meet lots of dogs and have so many furry friends. For now, I am just trying to be the best puppy I can be and keep learning until my forever family comes to find me. Could that family be you? I sure hope you have a fenced backyard for me to explore and zoom around in. Kids would be great too or just someone who wants to be with me a lot. I sure wouldn’t turn down a fur sibling to play with and learn from, but I could also be happy with all of the human attention and just seeing other dogs when we are out and about. So, if you think I would make a great addition to your family, please fill out an application today and let’s meet – https://www.mustluvboxersrescue.com/adopt.
